Owing to the seasonal promotions in anticipation of the year-end holiday period, shipment volume of the Greater Chinese netbook PC industry reached 7.957 million units in the fourth quarter of 2009, up 14.4% sequentially and 52.2% year-on-year. The industry's combined shipment volume for full year 2009 amounted to 24.951 million units, representing nearly 125% year-on-year when compared with full year 2008. The industry's combined shipmen value for full year 2009 also advanced approximately 114% to US$ 5.4 billion when compared with full year 2008.
